Authentication of PSD2 payments with just one Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) is extended with MitID Business (08/27-2024)
On 27 August, SDC opens for using MitID Business when authenticating PSD2 payments using the solution, which only requires one strong customer authentication (1-SCA). 
 
The new solution makes use of a new type of token, which requires development by the users of SDC's PSD2 APIs.  

The existing authentication solution, which is currently used for calls to SDC PSD2 APIs, will continue to work unchanged.

On 18 June, SDC opens for using Samleikin on the Faroe Islands when authenticating PSD2 payments using the solution, which only requires one strong customer authentication (1-SCA). 

The new solution makes use of a new type of token, which requires development by the users of SDC's PSD2 APIs.  

The existing authentication solution, which is currently used for calls to SDC PSD2 APIs, will continue to work unchanged.

Authentication with only one "Strong Customer Authentication" (SCA) is extended with Swedish BankID and biometric signing (05/21-2024)

Biometric authentication with the Mobile Bank app

On 21 May, SDC will open for customers in the SDC banks  to use their Mobile Bank app to authenticate PSD2 payments, which only require one strong customer authentication (1-SCA).

Authentication with BankID for Sweden

At the same time, it will also be possible to use Swedish BankID to authenticate PSD2 payments, which only require one strong customer authentication (1-SCA).

Please note that the new 1-SCA solutions make use of a new type of token, which requires development by the users of SDC's PSD2 APIs. 

The existing authentication solution used for calls to SDC’s PSD2 APIs will continue to work unchanged. However, from 21 May, bank customers can also use their Mobile Bank app.

The existing authentication solution, which is currently used for calls to SDC PSD2 APIs, will continue to work unchanged.

Authentication of PSD2-payments with only one Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) (01/09-2024)
SDC is now expanding the way of initiating payments with an authentication solution that only requires one strong authentication of end users using MitID Privat. 

The new solution makes use of a new type of token that requires development by users of SDC's PSD2 APIs.

The existing authentication solution currently used for calls to SDC PSD2 APIs will continue to work unchanged.

Extension of the validity period of payment service users' consent (05/16-2023)

The validity of the consent to be given by payment service users to payment initiation or account information service providers wanting to access PSD2 data will be extended from 90 to 180 days as of 25 July 2023. 

This means that if the payment service user gives or renews his/her consent

 • before July 25, 2023, it will be extended by 90 days.

 • from July 25, 2023 at 00:00, it will be extended by 180 days.

The change is automatic and does not require any changes to access SDC's PSD2 APIs.
